HALF MARATHON 2020 WITH ‘SAINTS DAYS’ 5K & 10K RACES TRAINING PLANS FOR RUNNERS AND WALKERS WILL START ON JANUARY 12.
DRAFTS OF PLANS, PARTS 1 & 2, ARE NOW AVAILABLE. Check them out if you are considering taking on this 13.1-mile distance race challenge. Each plan prepares you first for a 5k race that would be scheduled in mid-February, near February 14, St. Valentine’s Day, and in mid-March near March 17, St Patrick’s Day. Should you decide to not continue with training after the 10K, you still will have been able to compete in events that are celebrated with fun weekends in the later winter months. Training for them can help you get through theses oftentimes dreary weeks while maintaining fitness discipline. Links to the draft plans are provided below and will be on the RESOURCES page. BRIDGE TO PHYSICAL SELF
Running, walking, and fitness activities enable us to experience our physical selves in a world mostly accessed through use of fingers on a mobile device. AuthorEARNED RUNS is edited and authored by me, runner and founder. I began participating in road races before 5Ks were common. I've been a dietitian, practiced and taught clinical pathology, and been involved with research that utilized pathology. I am fascinated with understanding the origins of disease as well as health.
