JUNE 1st IS NATIONAL RUNNING DAY!
There are events planned in many different locations in the USA and the world, too many to list. All you really need to do to join the CELEBRATION is to RUN. Make this the first day you put on shoes and run, if you have ever thought about it and put it off doing it. Run by minutes, if that is more appealing to you than running a designated distance. Start with 5 minutes of walking, then 5 minutes of running, and end with 5 more minutes of walking. If you are en experienced runner, take this day to run for PURE ENJOYMENT, without worrying about your pace/times. Don't let the day end without a few minutes of running! BRIDGE TO PHYSICAL SELF
Running, walking, and fitness activities enable us to experience our physical selves in a world mostly accessed through use of fingers on a mobile device. AuthorEARNED RUNS is edited and authored by me, runner and founder. In 1978 I began participating in 10K road races before 5Ks were common. I've been a dietitian, practiced and taught clinical pathology, and been involved with research that utilized pathology.
