THE FUTURE? “Could POKEMON GO Be The Future Of Running”, an article from Competitor.com asks.
This new outdoor-activity based game is getting the running industry excited. Not entirely for how it’s played today but how the technology might be used in the future. The industry buzz around the current game is that by running, rather than walking, a player can get to the stops more quickly and advance through the game levels faster.

Runners have an advantage it’s proposed. Even more buzz-worthy is speculation that, once opened, the technology door will swing even wider and opportunities for this type of recreation will be increased. Millions of brilliant tech-savvy players will be encouraged to invent new ways to coax people out of sedentary lives with games that reward physical activity.  The article, for which a particular author is not cited, concludes,  “whether or not it’s the future of running, it certainly seems to be the tipping point of what’s next in the ever-blending realms of wearable technology, GPS data, augmented reality gaming and fitness, recreation and adventure.”

Safety concerns aside, what do you think, especially if you are now playing the game?

RUN HAPPY!
