Tempo runs have always been something of a mystery that I haven’t been excited about clearing up for myself. A single explanation came my way last year and I pounced on it. After reading Sara Crouch’s article for RunnersConnect.com, “What are Tempo Runs and Why Will They Help My Running” it seems there’s more to them!
There’s always one more thing to know, Teaching Teddy said in the 1980’s. This piece describes THREE more things to know about tempo runs, which we learn should more properly be called threshold runs in some cases.
